ExpertFile ensures that all Expert Profiles that are available on the web meet a certain minimum standard of completeness. This is to ensure that your experts' are adequately represented on your expert center, as well as ensuring that there is enough information contained within the profiles to make sure that they are discoverable when searched.
The following fields are ExpertFile's Core Content Requirements, and are required in order to publish a profile:
- Headline
- Biography
- Profile Picture
- Industry Experience
- Areas of Expertise
Headline
This is an element of the profile that serves as an engaging introduction to the expert. It is limited to 140 characters.
Biography
This is an element of the profile that allows an expert to describe their expertise. We allow for a maximum of 2,500 characters in this field (including spaces!).
Profile Picture
Upload a professional image of the expert to identify and differentiate them from others. It has to be at least 200 by 200 pixels, and cannot be more than 4mb in size. You can upload it directly from your desktop.
Industry Experience
Industry experience are selected from a drop down list. As many can be added as you wish. These entries are used to describe the broad elements that an expert operates within. You can find a full list of all the available industry experience entries here.
Areas of Expertise
Areas of expertise are freeform entries that are used to delineate the more specific areas that the expert focuses on. As with industries, you can add as many entries as you want.
