There is no set definition as to who can qualify as an expert, however in order to find those that would make for a good profile, here are some things you can look at before determining who would be the best candidates to add to the Expert Centre:
- Does the individual have media assets? Does he/she have videos on YouTube, slides on Slideshare, or books on Amazon? Adding these assets to a profile will help make the profile more engaging to the viewer and grow credibility.
- Is the expert media trained? The individuals that are being added to the Expert Centre will be publicly representing the company, so ensuring that they can speak in front of media is important.
- Does the expert have credibility? Has this individual done any public speaking? Does he/she have a proven academic/career track record?
All of this will not only help in determining whether someone is appropriate for the Expert Centre, but will also make creating the profile much easier.
